Session Topic: Practice Incentive Payment Quality Improvement- The new program

Martin joined the Department of Health in 2003. He is presently Assistant Secretary of the Primary Health Networks Strategy Branch. The Branch has national oversight of the PHN program, and also responsibility for the Practice Incentives Program Quality Improvement Incentive.

Previous roles included working across policy and programs in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing, public hospitals, rural health and pharmacy programs.

Martin has also served as a ministerial adviser between 2013 and 2016, with a focus on rural health, alcohol, tobacco and illicit drugs, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.

He has an Executive Master of Public Administration through the Australian and New Zealand School of Government.
